Our Society is dedicated to the cultivation and conservation of Orchids.

We hold a short monthly General Meeting at 1pm on the fourth Sunday of each month (except December) followed by the popular Novice/New Growers meeting. Anyone with an interest in growing orchids is welcome to attend.

Monthly Meetings 

 Our January 2025 General Meeting will be held on Sunday 26th January from 1pm.

Please donate something (quality items, please) for the raffle table.

Orchid Shows

Three Orchid Shows are held at our hall each year, in Autumn, Winter and Spring:

The 2025 Autumn Orchid Show 

This Orchid Show will be held from Friday 11th April to Sunday 13th April 2025 at our Hall in Charles Street, Kirwan (in the block between Thuringowa Drive and Bamford Lane). It will be open from 9am to 4pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 9am to 2pm on Sunday.  Orchids and other plants will be available for sale.

Show Judging (which is not open to the public) will be held from 7pm Thursday 10th April 2025.

• Please read the Show Schedule so you know which section to place your plants.
• It would be appreciated if you would use the labels for your Show plants (available here ).  If you wish to type directly onto the labels  before printing them, please do that here . The labels are to be attached to supplied "Tridents".
• If you intend to sell plants in the Townsville Orchid Society Sales Area, you must place a Sales Label with barcodes on each pot. Pre-order your Sales Labels using the form (available here ). Your Sales Labels can be collected at a General Meeting.

will be held from Friday 11th July to Sunday 13th July 2025

will be held from Friday 19th September to Sunday 21st September 2025
