 Welcome to theTownsville Orchid Society Inc.

Townsville Orchid Society Inc. (TOS) is North Queensland's foremost organisation for the cultivation and exhibition of orchids.

Founded on the 20th June 1947 the Townsville Orchid Society Inc. is one of the oldest continually running and most successful orchid societies in the world.

Objectives of the Townsville Orchid Society Inc.:

• The promotion of good fellowship;

• The advancement of knowledge of all that pertains to orchids, particularly their natural history, cultivation and hybridisation;

• The dissemination of such knowledge amongst members and kindred societies; and

• The assistance of government in preventing the vandalism and destruction of orchids in their natural habitat.
